Staff at ACHA, in collaboration with Yiwen Wang, Dr Md Irteja Islam and Professor Alexandra Martiniuk from the University of Sydney, have undertaken a multi-year evaluation of Rural Health Pro to better understand how digital platforms can support workforce capability and professional connection for health professionals working in under-resourced communities.
The findings, published in the study Exploring the use and experience of a digital platform to support rural health professionals in Australia, provide valuable insights into how rural health professionals engage with and benefit from the platform. The research highlights Rural Health Pro's contribution to supporting professional development, fostering connection and strengthening workforce capability across rural and remote Australia.
The study highlights the important role digital platforms can play in supporting a more connected and capable health workforce, helping address challenges that can affect health access in under-resourced communities.
